End of year digital fashion showcase at Fablab Yucatán

System Recovery 2.0 is a fashion show framework created at Fablab Yucatán to showcase the smart fashion projects created during Fabricademy and beyond in a multimedia environment juxtaposing algorithmic music, parametric exhibit pieces and design experimentations.

DECEMBER 2017

For the end of the year 2017, Fablab Yucatán decided to create a fashion show displaying the creations of the designers involved with Fabricademy and digital fabrication at large. The show was held within the Lab’s premises, which was designed in a way to create an enticing atmosphere through light, music generated with Processing and design elements for the runway created with parametric design and laser cutting.

During the show, I presented 4 pieces designed for the occasion:

MARCH 2018

The show was a great success and it was repeated in March 2018 at the international book fair FILEY 2018 in Mérida. The fashiontech runway was held outside, with music and audiovisuals mixed with Processing from other Fablab members. My garments and those of another local designer, Melina Goytortúa, were displayed during the event.
